In 2008/9 the Modi’in Pioneers, sponsored by Dancing Camel brewery and strengthened by a seasoned coach in Dan Brunwasser and a solid group of new players, definitely stayed true to the team’s motto – “Shut up and hit”. This mantra characterized the Pioneers’ season as the team went on to win a record-breaking nine straight games culminating in an Israel Bowl championship. Although the IFL has continued to grow, both in size and level of competition, the 2009/10 Pioneers are looking forward to demonstrating their team-first attitude and enthusiasm for the game as they try mightily to defend their title.
