Team Spokesperson: Jon Hauser

The Jerusalem Lions, sponsored by Barry Liben’s New York-based Big Blue Travel, were not going to take their double-overtime Israel Bowl loss lightly after winning it all in Year 1. This offseason, they went out and plucked the best QB in the league in Itai Ashkenazi to lead their attack and the early results in practice seem promising. The Lions have a great set of receivers, possibly the deepest in the league when they go four wide, and Ashkenazi has developed a quick chemistry with them. New head coach Chanan Stern will also have a better than average running game at his disposal and if things go as they should, this offense has the potential to not only be explosive, but will be able grind the clock a little and take some pressure off their defense, which itself is quick and underrated.
