The Jerusalem Kings are entering their second season with a new sponsor in South American grill specialists Papagaio, and a new attitude being projected by the entire roster. Coached by David Goldstein, the revamped Kings have a strong, overloaded roster with much-needed depth and competition at every position going into the season. The first-year class is talented enough that it will be expected to compete almost immediately and put pressure on the veterans to get better day in and day out. Moreover, after a season of growing pains, it appears that the Kings’ defense will be a strong point with a returning core of players as well as a host of newcomers with shut-down capability. Expect a few upset victories from this bunch as it looks to break into the playoffs for the first time.
