Expansion to Beersheva was always on the IFL’s backburner, and the league is thrilled this season to welcome the Black Swarm, who are coached in a group effort by the able team of Anthony Harrison, Nathan Parvin, Jaime Bohanon and Michael Jones. For individuals who are just learning the game, many of the Black Swarm players have major upsides that will begin to emerge as the season moves along, ensuring that they become a progressively more dangerous squad. I’d rather face them earlier in the schedule before they’ve had a chance to become a truly cohesive unit. With young, enthusiastic and eager players, sprinkled with some talent, Beersheva certainly has its work cut out, but may very well sneak up on some of the more experienced teams in this, their inaugural season.
